The 2011 Honda CR-Z Sport Hybrid Coupe is coming soon! This fantastic lookng, all-new Honda is making its official debut at the North American International Auto Show. The design is sleek and stylish while still keeping our enviroment, safety and fuel economy in mind! The CR-Z is said to go on sale in the United States in the late summer. Honda put out a spectacular video, Racing Against Time. An entertaining short video based on pushing yourself, focus and achieving major goals. Hear from people such as Tony Kanaan (IndyCar Driver), Alex Kurtzman (Screenwriter for Star Trek and Transformers), Tony Hawk (Pro Skateboarder) as well as Honda presidents and more, as they share their opinion of beating the pressure and becoming the best they can.

• Your vehicle must be less than 25 years old on the trade-in date
• Only purchase or lease of new vehicles qualify
• Generally, trade-in vehicles must get 18 or less MPG (some very large pick-up trucks and cargo vans have different requirements)
• Trade-in vehicles must be registered and insured continuously for the full year preceding the trade-in
• You don’t need a voucher, dealers will apply a credit at purchase
• Program runs through Nov 1, 2009 or when the funds are exhausted, whichever comes first.
• The vehicle that you are trading in is required to be destroyed. Therefore, the value you negotiate with the dealer for your trade in is not likely to exceed its scrap value. The law requires the dealer to disclose to you and estimate of the scrap value of your trade-in vehicle.

• Avoid warming up the engine for long periods of time, some mornings are cold but just 30-45 seconds is plenty.

• Avoid driving over the speed limit. Not only does this keep you from a costly speeding ticket but believe it or not traveling at 55 mpg  gives you up to 21% better gas mileage when compared to 65 and 70 mpg. 

•  Clean out your vehicle. Keep any extra heavy weight out of the vehicle when not needed as it reduces mileage.

• The shortest route is not always the best! The heavy traffic and traffic lights is not the best way to save on fuel, even if it saves those 5 minutes.

• Have cruise control? Use it. It does actually help get you savings.

• Take advantage of the new government program Cash For Clunkers and trade in that gas guzzler for a new fuel efficient Honda!

Today April 22nd, this Earth Day is the OFFICIAL ARRIVAL day for the 2010 Honda Insight!! If you have not had a chance to take a look or even drive this cost effective hybrid, you really should!
