American Idol Update!

American idol now has its top 12! So far no one has WOW‘d me yet. Hopefully soon. I like all the girls this season. They each have there own unique sound. The guys are good as well but I think it will be a female that wins this season!! Also I think the judges tend to say the same thing each week to the contestants. They say they want better song choice from contestants and then when they sing a song that suits them they say they didn’t make it their own. The judges confuse me sometimes. I still love having Ellen Degeneres on the show, she is hilarious. Tonight they all sing in one show instead of girls one night and the guys the next. Can’t wait to watch!!

American Idol!

American Idol has finally started in my opinion now that all the auditions and Hollywood week are over. They have chosen the top 24 and now the competition begins. So far I have two favorites but we’ll see how that goes. They don’t always show everyone in the beginning of the season.
The two I like so far are Casey James and Andrew Garcia.

The Girls perform Tuesday so that will give me a chance to see who I really like from the girls. I can’t even imagine the pressure they go through but I think if it’s something that you really really want you will do great!  I also am glad Ellen DeGeneres is on the show, I think she is so funny and I’ve notice that Simon seems a little nicer now that Paula is gone? We will see if that will continue.

My Co-worker at Dick Hannah Honda (and fellow LiveLoveAndDrive lady), Kim Kirkpatrick watches American Idol as well and we always talk about who sang best and who looked the best the following day.  So lots more to come… stay tuned!

American Idol News!

I am a big fan of American Idol, so this season watch our blog for weekly thoughts and news!

“Pants on the Ground”

Only two episodes of American Idol’s ninth season have aired, and there is already a new song sweeping the nation. General Larry Platt, a 62 year old veteran, shared his original song, along with some dancing and calisthenics, with Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, Kara DioGuardi, and guest judge Mary J. Blige in Atlanta. The song, entitled “Pants on the Ground,” not only shares a message (buy a belt, kids!), but it has a catchy beat too. After General Larry’s energetic performance, Simon said, “I have a horrible feeling that song could be a hit.” Mary J. Blige laughed until she cried, and Randy and Kara joined in with Larry on the chorus. In fact, by the end of the day the entire waiting room was getting down to “Pants on the Ground.”
