Tis the season for remembering loved ones, family and friends. But when I think about it, isn’t every season that season? Not that I’m telling anyone anything they don’t already know, but sometimes it’s nice to remind ourselves that every year, month, week and day we are blessed. The simple relief that a Mother or family member will be here for another Christmas or Thanksgiving puts life in perspective and makes it all the more special and joyful.
Feeling so lucky to have that special someone in your life that knows you truly and still adores you completely.
Feeling so grateful to be able to help provide for your family, even if it’s by emotional support and not just financial.
Remembering that each one of us were made completely different, are uniquely special and have something no one else has, that it is appreciated and needed by someone else how is uniquely special and different.
So this “Season” I send out my best wishes and hopes to all; to look at all the blessing that surround us daily. To remember to tell those we love that we love them, and are thankful for them.
Each one of us does makes a difference; only catch is, we have to choose what kind of difference that will be.
Blessings,
Simone

I just finished reading this book and had to share it.
It is a great story of two sisters, one who ends up tragically in the hospital while the other learns things about her she never thought possible. Meanwhile Robin is in the hospital and unable to speak for herself, leaving her sister Molly to do all the work to figure it out.
Once the secrets start coming out, you really cannot put the book down, making this a great read in my opinion!
This book was also on the New York Times Bestseller List back in February.

What to do on a Rainy Friday night?
Well, I have the perfect date night! My husband and I love heading to the Kennedy School McMenamin’s in NE Portland to watch a movie and have dinner. The movie is $3.00 and the food is very reasonable and oh so yummy! We love to take a walk around the hotel and maybe get in a game of pool in the Boiler room prior. It’s not your typical Stadium seating nor are the movies new releases, but the atmosphere, food and spirits make it such a relaxing fun night for us. My husband likes it so much I can even sneak a chick flick in… that’s huge, believe me!
If the babysitter isn’t free, kids are invited up to certain times and of course depending on the movie showing. Our daughter loves the desserts to snack on while the movie is playing, and of course she loves the seating arrangements, she gets her own couch without her dads feet in her way!
Check out their movie selections and locations, but check back often, they change them about every two weeks!

I always thought getting a doggy car seat was just silly, until I got my little boy Sir Oliver. Sir Oliver is my Pug and he loves the car, however he won’t sit anywhere other than his mommy’s lap with his head out the window while I drive. This would not be so bad if he wasn’t constantly trying to jump out the window and bark at innocent bystanders! All of this while I am trying to drive LOL. A pet car seat straps your precious pooch in just like a baby and still allows him/her to look out the window but without worry about their safety. They are unable to just hop out the window or completely distract you by jumping around, while you are driving. So get your baby a seat and show you care. You will be fascinated with how fashionable and comfortable some of these pet car seats are!

Looking to purchase a pre-loved vehicle? Here are some tips to help you along the way.
1. Select a vehicle that is right for you. Take into consideration a few important factors; your driving habits, your lifestyle, how many will you need to seat and most of all your budget.
2. Make sure you love the vehicle…..Drive it first! Many people have their heart set on a vehicle, suddenly after driving it they realize it is not very comfortable or there is not enough room etc. and they must start the search over.
3. After parking, don’t stop the test drive. Perform a thorough check of what many of us forget in all of the excitement. Check for any rust, tire condition, cracks in the windshield and investigate all electrical components to ensure they all work properly (headlights, heat, wipers and so forth).
4. Once you find the pre-loved vehicle you desire, do your homework. Research all you can about that particular vehicle make and model.
5. Obtain an AutoCheck/CarFAX report. Ask your dealer representative for a copy to verify the vehicles history and score. (note; every used vehicle at Dick Hannah Honda comes with an Auto Check report, you can even print it out for yourself right off the Dick Hannah Honda website!) 6. Explore the future. Research the frequency of repair as well as possible repair and maintenance costs for this vehicle.
7. Call your auto insurance agent. Explore policy options for this vehicle and prepare your budget.
8. Ask an abundance of questions. Don’t be shy, this is YOUR potential vehicle and you need to apprehend all information possible.
9. Lastly, take your new-to-you wheels home feeling confident that you made the right choice after all that preparation!
